From Cobblestone Streets to Global Perspectives
Vilnius International School is host to over 500 students. We converge with our Lithuanian friends and colleagues to create a learning community tucked away in a quiet corner of Vilnius Old Town, but alert to the active vibe of this forward thinking city. The student population hails from over 40 countries. Approximately 60% hold Lithuanian passports. A significant proportion of the students in this cohort are dual citizens. Others are from expatriate families representing business professionals, diplomats and NGOs, most of whom are originally from European countries.
Our School Programmes
From the Nest
This year, VIS is delighted to welcome five new educators joining us from South Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania! We are also thrilled to reveal a series of thoughtful upgrades to our Early Childhood section. Designed to blend practical enhancements like improved acoustics with playful, whimsical touches, these new spaces create an inspiring and comforting home away from home for our youngest learners.
Stork Talk at VIS: Making Waves on the Global Stage: Celebrating Our Tech Innovators!
We’re thrilled to celebrate a fantastic achievement by VIS students Laura and Meda! Their team reached Semifinalist level in the Technovation Girls Challenge, one of the world’s largest tech entrepreneurship competitions for young women. At the time, they were the only semifinalists representing Lithuania and the Baltic countries. Over 40 hours went into creating STEAM Girls, an app inspiring young girls to explore STEAM through quizzes, stories and experiments. A huge thank you to VIS parent Alexandrina Satnoianu for guiding the girls throughout their journey. We’re incredibly proud of their creativity, dedication and drive to make a difference through technology!

Upcoming Events: Connect, Learn, and Celebrate
VIS prides itself in its traditions such as the September 1st celebration that brings our entire community together in the school courtyard. This event is sacred to VIS in that it signifies our confidence in the potential of all of our learners from the very beginning of their journey. .

Over the years, other events have evolved to mark our school year. These include the Fun Run for Charity in Bernadine Gardens, the Flea Market and Family Picnic, Model European Parliament Baltic Region, and most recently, the holiday laser show and mini-Week Without Walls.
