Exam Information

The Cambridge International A Level is a two-year course, and Cambridge International AS Level is typically one year. VIS plans to offer a ‘staged’ assessment route. This means that students will take the Cambridge International AS Level in one examination series at the end of grade 11 and complete the final Cambridge International A Level at a subsequent series in grade 12.

Cambridge International AS and A Level examination series take place twice a year, in June and again in November. Results are issued in August and January.

The Cambridge International A Level is reported on a grade scale from A* (highest) to E (minimum required performance). There is no A* grade for Cambridge International AS Levels, which run from grade A to E.

Students who take Lithuanian as a mother-tongue will sit an externally moderated exam at the end of grade 12.

The IELTs English test is recommended for students planning to study at universities outside of Lithuania.

VIS will continue to report internally developed and assessed formative and summative assignments using a digital platform.  The grades on these assessments will constitute their grade point average.
