  “Taking Play Seriously”

During the 2014- 2015 school year  Vilnius International School formed a partnership with Kalinka kindergarten in Helsinki, Finland to share experiences around the theme of play based learning. The exchange consisted of 4 separate visits between the two schools. Topics of collaboration included:

  • The role of play in early childhood
  • The usage of observation tools
  • The development of rubrics for assessing play

“Bringing back creativity and thinking skills into education process”

VIS teachers Giedrė Juodytė (kindergarten and pre-school) and Dierdre Jennings (MYP coordinator, science teacher, and 9th and 10th grades home room teacher) participated in the project.
